2011 IBSA EUROPEAN OPEN SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIPS – RESULTS
Result are now in from the 2011 IBSA European Open Shooting Championships in Nitra, Slovakia.
Hosted by the Section of Blind & Weak-sight Sportsmen of Slovakia, the championships brought together 22 visually impaired shooters from nine countries spanning two continents.
Participating countries were Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Malaysia, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
In the standing position competition held on September 15th, Timo Nyström (Finland) took gold ahead of Stefan Kopcik (Slovakia) and bronze medallist Lene Christiansen from Denmark.
On September 16th the 3X40 event was held. On this occasion gold went to Aleksandra Janczek from Poland, who finished just two points ahead of silver medallist Timo Nyström from Finland. Lene Christiansen from Denmark took bronze.
