VISUALLY IMPAIRED SKIER BRIAN MCKEEVER CHOSEN FOR OLYMPIC GAMES
Canadian partially sighted skier Brian McKeever will make history at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, by demonstrating the gap between Paralympians and Olympians isn´t that big.
The 30-year-old will be the first winter sport athlete to compete in both the Olympics and Paralympics after being named in Canada´s Olympic cross-country team last Friday along with 10 other athletes.
McKeever has less than 10 per cent vision and is a B3 athlete according to the IBSA sight classification system.
Following his competitions in the Olympic events, McKeever will represent Canada at the Winter Paralympic Games starting on March 12th.
