TEAMS GATHER IN SARAJEVO FOR 2ND IBSA NINE-PIN BOWLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bosnia & Herzegovina plays host in the coming days to the world’s best blind and partially sighted nine-pin bowlers, who will meet in the capital city, Sarajevo, to take part in the IBSA Nine-Pin Bowling World Championships.
Ten countries and more than 100 bowlers are expected to compete in the championships, which are organised by the Association of Blind Citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina and take place in the Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports Hall.
There will be individual male and female competitions in all three sight categories – B1, B2 and B3, plus team events featuring 6 players in each team (2 B1, 2 B2 and 2 B3) in the men’s competition and three bowlers (one from each sight class) in the women’s competition.
The 2nd IBSA Nine-Pin Bowling World Championships follow on from the first IBSA world championships in the sport, held in the Slovak Republic in 2007. Click here for the full results.
