HENRI COURTINE NAMED IBSA JUDO AMBASSADOR
IBSA Judo is very proud to announce that Mr Henri Courtine has become an IBSA Judo Ambassador. Henri Courtine is a great pioneer in French Judo who has dedicated all his life to improving judo on many different levels, such as organisation, technical aspects and ethical issues.
Henri Courtine made history when in 2007 he became the first French Judoka to access the 10th dan grade, a great symbol of the respect he commands within the Judo Community.
Jean-Claude Prieur, Chairman of the IBSA Judo Subcommittee, said of the appointment, ” the exemplary Judo pathways shown by Henri Courtine are the representation of all Judo educational values and we are very lucky to count on such a great man to promote IBSA Judo”. Henri Courtine has won 5 European Championships, 1 bronze medal in World Championships, and 6 French titles. He is also an international referee and has worked for the IJF, FFJDA and CNOSF. Many thanks to Henri Courtine for supporting IBSA Judo.
