IBSA GOALBALL CONFIRMS AND ANNOUNCES TEAMS FOR LONDON 2012 GOALBALL COMPETITION
The IBSA Goalball Subcommittee has confirmed that the following countries have qualified to take part in the Goalball competitions at the London 2012 Paralympic Games:
Men’s competition
1 – Host nation – Great Britain
2 – World Championships 1st Place – Lithuania
3 – World Championships 2nd Place – China
4 – World Championships 3rd Place – Iran
5 – Regional Champions Asia – South Korea
6 – Regional Champions Europe – Finland
7 – Regional Champions America – Brazil
8 – Regional Champions Africa/Oceania – Algeria
9 – Qualifying tournament – Turkey
10 – Qualifying tournament – Canada
11 – Qualifying tournament – Belgium
12 – Qualifying tournament – Sweden
Women’s competition
1 – Host nation – Great Britain
2 – World Championships 1st Place – China
3 – World Championships 2nd Place – USA
4 – World Championships 3rd Place – Sweden
5 – Regional Champions Asia – Japan
6 – Regional Champions Europe – Denmark
7 – Regional Champions America – Brazil
