IBSA NINEPIN EUROPEANS KICK OFF IN SLOVAKIA
The 12th IBSA European Ninepin Bowling Championships are underway in the Slovakian city of Velky Šariš. The competition runs until May 23rd.
Organised by the Association of Blind and Partially Sighted Sportsmen of Slovakia, the European Championships bring together the best visually bowlers from all over the continent for individual and team competitions. They follow on from last year’s event in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Poland.
Ninety-seven participants from 10 countries - Germany, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Poland - are competing. In total there are seven women’s teams and six men’s teams entered in the team competitions.
