The 4th IBSA World Championships and Games will be held in Antalya, Turkey, from April 1st to April 10th 2011. The 4th edition of this, IBSA's showcase event, follows on from the successful games held in Madrid (Spain) in 1998, Quebec (Canada) in 2003 and Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 2007.
The 4th IBSA World Championships and Games will be hosted by the Turkish Blind Sports Federation GESFED and will be the biggest ever, offering events in the following eight sports:
- Athletics
- Swimming
- Futsal (Football) B1
- Futsal (Football) B2/B3
- Goalball
- Judo
- Powerlifting
- Chess
Timelines for entering participants are as follows:
15th January 2011 - Deadline for submitting the second entry form and payment of the participation fees.
25th January 2011 - Distribution third entry form to participating nations that have duly submitted the second entry form and made the payment of participation & capitation fees.
28th February 2011 - Deadline for submitting third entry forms.
